Prerequisites
- Admin access to your DecoNetwork account
- At least one store configured
- Production days already defined under Admin > Production
Why use rush order fees?
- Offer faster turnaround options without overwhelming your team
- Automatically prioritize urgent orders in Business Hub
- Charge appropriately for expedited production
- Limit rush availability by quantity and store
Step 1: Create a rush order fee
- Go to Admin → Settings → Rush Order Fees.
- Click Add Rush Order Fee.
- Enter a clear name, such as 3-Day Rush.
- Set the Production Time (for example, 3 production days).
- Choose a Cutoff Order Time to control when the rush timeframe begins.
Step 2: Set quantity limits
- Define a Minimum Quantity, if required.
- Set a Maximum Quantity to prevent rush orders from exceeding your production capacity.
For example, you may allow rush orders only up to 250 units to ensure your staff and equipment can meet the accelerated timeline.
Step 3: Mark rush orders as priority
- Enable Set the order as a priority order.
Priority orders are visually flagged in Business Hub, helping your team identify and process rush jobs faster.
Step 4: Configure rush fee pricing
Rush order fees can be charged in several ways:
- Flat rate – A single amount added to the order total (for example, $50).
- Price per item fee – A fixed amount added to each item (for example, $1 per unit).
-
Percentage value markup – A percentage increase applied to:
- The total item price (blank + decoration)
- Blank product only
- Decoration only
- Select your preferred pricing method.
- Enter the fee amount or percentage.
- Optionally set a Minimum Fee.
Step 5: Assign rush fees to stores
- Disable This is available in all stores by default if needed.
- Select the specific stores where the rush option should appear.
This is useful if you want rush fees available only on your primary store and not on affiliate or campaign sites.
Step 6: Understand production vs business days
Rush turnaround times are based on production days, not standard business days.
- Production days are defined in your production calendar.
- Business days depend on which production days are enabled.
For example, if weekends are disabled, a 3-day rush effectively becomes 3 business days. Customers can pay more to reduce your default turnaround (for example, from 10 production days down to 3).
Best-practice tips
- Set realistic maximum quantities to avoid production bottlenecks.
- Use clear rush fee names so customers understand the turnaround promise.
- Always align rush fees with your actual production calendar.
- Review priority orders daily in Business Hub.
Troubleshooting
- Rush option not appearing: Confirm the rush fee is assigned to the correct store.
- Unexpected delivery expectations: Check the cutoff time and production day settings.
- Orders too large for rush: Adjust the maximum quantity limit.
