Prerequisites
- You must have Administrator and/or Sales Manager permission.
- You must be on the Premium or Enterprise plan.
- The Contract Price Levels app must be enabled.
- At least one contract price level must already be created and configured under Admin → Products → Contract Price Levels.
Why use this feature?
Contract price levels let you offer different pricing tiers to different companies and customers without manually adjusting prices on every quote or order. Once a level is assigned to a company or customer, DecoNetwork retains that choice and applies it automatically to every future quote and order for that account, whether it's built by staff in Business Hub or placed directly by the customer logging in and ordering through a store.
- Apply the right pricing tier automatically, without manual adjustment
- Keep pricing consistent whether staff or the customer creates the order
- Update pricing for every contact under a company in one place
- Override pricing for a single quote or order when a genuine exception comes up
Step 1: Update a Company's Contract Price Level
- Go to Business Hub.
- Open Companies and select the company you want to update.
- Select Edit Account Details.
- Choose the Contract Price Level for this company, for example Level 1.
- Click Save.

- Select Edit Account Details.
- Choose the Contract Price Level for this customer, for example Level 2.
- Click Save.
Setting a contract price level on a customer profile
Once saved, this pricing tier is used automatically any time this customer's quote or order is created going forward, whether by staff in Business Hub or by the customer logging in and placing their own quote request or order through a store.
Step 3: Override the Price Level on an Individual Quote or Order
- Start a new quote or order in Business Hub and select the customer as usual. Their assigned contract price level is applied automatically based on their profile, company, or store.
- If this particular quote or order needs a different price level, use the Contract Price Level field on the quote or order to select a different level.
- Continue building the quote or order as normal.
Overriding the contract price level on an order
This override applies only to that quote or order. It doesn't change the customer's or company's saved contract price level for future transactions.
How Contract Price Level Priority Works
Contract price levels can be set at several places, so DecoNetwork applies the most specific one whenever more than one could apply:
- Product Group, the starting default for a group of products.
- Store, which overrides the product group's level for every order placed on that store.
- Company, which cascades to every contact linked to that company who doesn't have their own level set.
- Customer, which overrides both the store's and the company's level for that individual specifically.
- An individual quote or order, which can override all of the above for that transaction alone.
Best Practices
- Set contract price levels at the company level when every contact under that company should get the same pricing, rather than updating each customer individually.
- Use the customer-level setting only when a specific contact needs pricing different from their company or the store default.
- Double check pricing before sending a quote if a contract price level was recently changed, since it only applies going forward.
- Reserve the per-quote or per-order override for genuine one-off exceptions, not as your default way of managing pricing.
Troubleshooting
Problem: A contact isn't getting the pricing set on their company.
Cause: The customer profile itself has its own contract price level set, which overrides the company's.
Solution: Open the customer's Edit Account Details and check whether a different level is set there. Update or clear it as needed.
Problem: A quote is still showing old pricing after a contract price level was changed.
Cause: The change only applies to new quotes and orders created after it was saved. It isn't retroactive.
Solution: Create a new quote, or use the Contract Price Level field on the existing quote or order to apply the correct level manually.
Problem: The Contract Price Level field isn't visible on a company or customer profile.
Cause: The Contract Price Levels app isn't enabled, or the account isn't on the Premium or Enterprise plan.
Solution: Confirm your subscription plan and check whether the Contract Price Levels app is enabled.
FAQs
If I change a company's contract price level, does it update every contact under that company automatically?
Yes, for any contact who doesn't have their own contract price level explicitly set. Contacts with their own override keep their individual setting.
What takes priority, the store's contract price level or the customer's?
The customer's. If a store is set to one contract price level and a specific customer is set to a different one, the customer's price level takes precedence over the store's.
Does updating a contract price level affect quotes or orders that already exist?
No. It only applies going forward, to new quotes and orders created after the change is saved.
Can I use a different contract price level for just one quote or order?
Yes. Use the Contract Price Level field when creating the quote or order to select a different level for that transaction alone, without changing the customer's or company's saved default.
