Minimum quantities
A customer is not able to purchase any number of the chosen product at a volume less than this setting.
You can either use the default by leaving the Use default minimum quantity checkbox ticked, or un-ticking the checkbox to specify a minimum. The default is set via Admin > Products > Product Groups > Edit [Product Group] > Minimum Quantity (See General properties for the default group to which this product belongs).
Bundle Sizes
Bundles Sizes set a limitation on products to be sold only in packages of a specific number of items. By default, bundles are set at 1 item per package. However, this can be changed to suit your business practices.
- Use Incremental bundles will, when selected, use the entry for Maximum number of products that fit into the above package as a fixed number to increase each successive bundle size. The number that you specify will be incrementally added to the minimum quantity to form the bundle sizes.
When set to 1, the default, a bundle can effectively be any size, meaning the customer can order any quantity they wish. If set to 10, while the minimum quantity is set to 1, bundle sizes become 11, 21, 31, 41, and so on. If you want bundles to be neat factors, make sure the minimum quantity matches the maximum number specified for bundles. Hence, if you set the minimum quantity to 10, then bundles also set to 10 would give bundle sizes of 10, 20, 30, 40, etc.
- Specify custom bundles lets you determine the exact size of bundles, useful if you are not offering bundles that are neat factors of smaller numbers. For example, you may offer bundles of 1, 5, 20, 50, 100. Use the Add Bundle Size button to add new bundle sizes. Press the Remove button to remove the required bundle size.
- Use Incremental bundles will, when selected, use the entry for Maximum number of products that fit into the above package as a fixed number to increase each successive bundle size. The number that you specify will be incrementally added to the minimum quantity to form the bundle sizes.
- Click Save or Save and Continue when done.
